Entec Expands Energy Team

Entec has appointed David Robertson as an Associate Director on the Energy team. Based in Glasgow, David will be responsible for continuing to build Entec's Grid Connections business, supporting developers of energy generation projects with the technical, commercial and regulatory aspects of securing connections to the distribution and transmission networks. Dave will be working with our full-service technical teams who provide planning, EIA, landscape, ecology, ornithology water, cultural heritage and engineering services to developers. Entec's focus on constraint identification and management through the planning and environmental assessment process now sees almost 1000MW of wind energy developments consented at sites in Scotland, Wales and England.
David has many years’ experience in high voltage electrical engineering and consultancy work. He is a Chartered Engineer with BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is currently studying for an MBA in Strategic Management. David was previously employed by Scottish Power and was responsible for the management of both electrical infrastructure and grid connection contracts for Whitelee Windfarm south of Glasgow. Whilst at Scottish Power David managed several other electrical projects within the businesses Wind, Biomass and Wave generation portfolios.
