Waste
Waste is increasingly becoming recognised as a resource. The implications of this shift in thinking will result in permanent changes to the business of waste and the way waste is managed. Recent estimates suggest that investment in municipal waste management assets alone in the UK during the next 10 years will be between £6-10 billion. The delivery of projects associated with this investment is critical to the way we manage our waste.
Waste is not a homogeneous by-product of production. Each waste has very specific characteristics that requires specific handling, storage, collection, sorting, treatment, recovery and disposal. Some waste has a positive value and so becomes a resource resulting in its reuse, recovery or recycling.
At Entec we understand what waste is and we are able to see it from the point of view of the waste producer, the waste contractor and the recycler. Our knowledge, combined with that of our customer, creates additional value from waste.
Our experience of municipal, industrial and commercial waste has been built on upon delivering our knowledge to our customers in policy, regulation, contract design, risk management, compliance and the design and engineering of waste management systems and assets.
